Well I guess you must actually be serious about wanting to know stuff about me if you are still here. (Which of course you must be if you are reading this =)

Sooo......Where do I start??
Well Firstly my real name is Neil McGowan, I hail from Auckland, New Zealand (Yay!) and it is a pretty cool place to be, even though where I am living at the moment it is a pretty dull town where nothing much happens but still.....I am not that far from the city central, so if I get too bored I can always drive into the city with a few mates and create my own fun (grins).

I am 19 at the moment and I turn 20 on June 17th this year, now that is a scary thought!!......20!!...wow, the end of the teenage years. (I feel old just thinking about it.)   =)
I have an older sister Heidi, she is 27, she lives about 10 minutes drive away from us with her boyfriend Aran, she works as an Insurance Broker and is set to earn MONDO money........which kinda makes getting her double University degree in Law and English worth while.
My parents are english, My Dad (Keith) was born in a place called Coalville in Leceistershire, and my Mum (Rosemary) was born in Loughborough. My sister was born in England aswell which makes me the only true kiwi in the entire family (and our extended family is pretty huge!) I was lucky enough to be be shouted a trip to England in September 1997 and was able to meet a great deal of my family.  I would have to say it was a highlight of my life so far, as up until that trip( immediate family excluded) I had only ever met  my Grandmother, one Aunty  and three cousins (two of which were 4th cousins from Australia) So after being in England for a little while I have decided I will definitely be going back in the not too distant future, my olds are planning a trip in 1999 so maybe I might go back with them and then do a bit of an O.E. and travel  around Europe etc.

At the moment I work for a company called Wormald (Usual response here is "Who??!!" as not many people have heard of them). Wormald are involved in almost every area of security/protection in NZ, especially fire protection.
Wormald cover things like:

(Can't remember any more so he runs out to grab a business card and check on the back) So they are pretty much IT in NZ where there is anything to do with fire stuff.
I got into this line of work when I got a part time job testing fire alarms for the husband of Mum's friend from work (checks to make sure he got it right!), and I worked for Gary for a couple of months after I finished my last year at high school. Then one day Gary asked if I would be interested in a full time job testing alarms, I said I would be as I was keen to get my greedy little paws on as much moolah as I could =)
So that was how I got the job working for Wormald, I had an interview and was hired on the spot and found myself being trained two days later.
I am still with Wormald's almost a year later although I have recently been promoted and now work in Head Office in Grey Lynn. So now I get to wear a suit everyday, get my own business cards, cellphone, company car etc. which is cool, but sometimes being stuck in an office all day just isn't my idea of fun, so I manage to get out of the office at least a couple of times a week. At the moment my official title is Customer Services Representative, which is bollocks really because I am  actually a Testing Contract Salesman (Just that my boss has this great (??!!)  idea that clients don't particularly like the idea of a "Salesman").....in other words I set up/quote contracts for Wormald's to test alarms/sprinklers etc....... as it is a requirement of NZ law that they be tested regularly. So I come along and have a look at  a building and see what needs testing, go back to the office and guess.....oops I mean estimate the price it would cost to carry out the testing, and hopefully my prices are better than other companies that might be tendering for the same site, and I get the contract!! Which then makes my boss happy, which makes the office happy, which makes the world just a better place to live in (almost breaks down at how beautiful that was) *grins*

What else might you want to know??
hmm,
I play soccer and have done since i was 7, I have been a Counties representative since I was 9 and have competed in 5 national soccer tournaments as a result of being in Counties. I played First Class soccer (highest grade in NZ) when I was 15. Me and my friend Aaron were asked to go and play for Papatoetoe United and they actually paid us to go!! Which we thought was pretty cool at the time. And then I had a year off basically, just playing for the High school 1st XI, due to a really heavy academic year. But I am back into it again now and am entering into my third year of Senior football, in-fact we have started training already even though it has been 30-34 degrees for the last fortnight! We must be nuts training in this heat.
I enjoy playing all sports and used to be an avid cricketer when I was younger and was lucky enough to be a Counties rep in that aswell. But I gave it up after a really disastrous season and have never picked it up since, but I am currently thinking about starting again.
I can run the 100 metres in about 10.9 secs so I guess I am pretty fast, which is why I like field sports and generally (tries not to be bigheaded) tend to be pretty good at them. I used to love athletics  and was athletics champ for a couple of years while I was at high school, but never followed it through because of commitments to other sports.
I was also Tennis champ twice at Highschool  and continued playing tennis up until about two years ago when I quit because my coach refused to split our team up (We had won the Interclub champs two years running) and I ended up having complete mismatches against guys I should never have been playing, I never lost one single Interclub match and won every single match  6-0, 6-1 (Yes EVERY one!) So I got really bored as I should have been playing about two grades up, but MR TAYLOR (Hah, hope your satisfied!) refused to split the team and I got pissed off, so I quit. I don't know who was dumber....him or me (having recently seen the moolah these tennis people earn).

At this point in time my life is pretty simple, having no girlfriend at the moment gives me plenty of money to spend (as I found out from a 2 1/2 year disaster, g/friends drain money like there's no tomorrow *grins*) so I have been devoting my time to trying to find me a nice styly car to drive. At the moment I am about as in love with a car as it is possible to be without getting all kinky *big grin* So I have but one car for me......the Subaru Legacy RS. The RS is a 5 speed, 2 litre, quad cam, intercooled turbo, 4 wheel drive monster that pumps out about 180 kilowatts of grunt (Believe me! This is lots!!!!) and is absolutely guaranteed to get chicks and impress the heck out of other males. I have already planned the modifications to it and will be posting a page or two later on with the mods and stuff that I have done/intend doing. Until then I will I will only post a few pics so that you just at least Know what an RS looks like. And also this way if you happen to be a female (yeh fat chance!!) and are reading this, you wont be bored to tears with crap guys stuff *grins*.

Ask any of my friends and they will tell you I am a bit of a label basher when it comes to clothes etc., so out of complete lack of anything else to post, I am posting a list of a few of my favourite items of clothing, and some of the brand names I like.
I am currently wearing eye protection from  I have recently bought a new pair of Oakleys (Eh Em you big jealous thing you!) because when I went to England some dude (for the sake of keeping this page remotely family like, I will refer to this person as "dude") dropped his briefcase on my carry bag and smashed the arms on my old Oakleys .
So instead of just replacing the arms like any sane person would do (At a cost of $70) I went out and bought an entirely new pair!! partly because 87345787345 people now owned identical glasses, whereas before I was one of only a few to own them. (New glasses plus a hard carry case = $310 hee hee).

Ok.....So I totally over-estimated how many pics I had robbed off the net to do with my label bashing fashion sense, so I will update my fashion corner with piccies etc. when I have done some more surfing and pinched some more pics. hee hee.

So what else do you want to know about me?? Unfortunately when I started writing this particular page I had a list of stuff I was going to write about me, but I got distracted somewhat and have lost the list and cant be bothered using my brain power to write another. So if you would like to know anything else about me, or about my views on anything leave me a message in my guestbook or email me and I will be happy to try and accommodate any suggestions.

=)   Neil.

So I guess I should leave you with the option of looking at a pic of me. Be warned it is an older pic and people who have seen me recently will vouch for my change, and I promise that when I get my new photos digitized I will post a whole stack of new ones, so this is basically just a temporary one to give you an idea of who to avoid if you see them walking towards you. *grins*
